I found the following information regarding the old “Halfway House” Kentish Town Road: ***
The 1911 Census shows George Arthur Moore as the Publican. His wife was a cousin on mum’s line. Prior to this he had been a Barman at the Constitutional Club, Northumberland Avenue, where he met his wife Zillah (a good number of cousins lived and worked at this Gentlemen’s Club).
A female cousin on the same branch of my tree ran “The Good Intent” at Tufnell Park in the first half of the 20th century and mum always referred to Cousin May as “the lady of good intent” – now I know why – this was demolished in the 2010s I believe.
