I can add a little to this entry, the landlord Harry PLOWMAN from about 1881
dies in 1937. At some stage his son Harry Albert PLOWMAN (1898-1984) takes
over the licence as he is there at the 1939 census as a Publican and coal
merchant. Harry is still there in 1955 from the electoral roll. *
