BOW BRICKHILL, with the hamlet of Caldecot, is an irregular village, forming a parish in the three hundreds and union of Newport Pagnell, situate 2 miles N. from Fenny Stratford, and 15 from Buckingham. The church is situate at a distance from the village on an eminence, from the summit of which interesting views of the surrounding country may be obtained. The living is a rectory, value £400 per annum, in the second portion of the deanery of Newport and incumbency of the Rev. Joseph Marshall Jackson, M.A. A new National School has recently been erected. Lady De Lap is sole proprietor of the parish. Population in 1861, 546; area in statute acres 1380.
Caldecot is distant from Bow Brickhill half a mile, and 2 E. from Fenny Stratford.
