CALVERTON is a parish in the hundred of Newport, union of Potters Pury'
situate on the south of the small river Tare, l 1/2 miles S.W, from Stony
Stratford, 8 N.N.E. from Buckingham, and 50 from London. The church is a
neat structure. dedicated to All Saints. The living is a rectory, in the
gift of Lord Arden, and deanery of Buckingham; the Rev. W. W. P. Trevalyan,
incumbent. The parish. comprises an area of 1917 acres, with a population in
1861 of 521.
