Kings Arms, Chalfont St Peter - in 1927
The Kings Alms shows a family group. The woman in black in the trap is Annie, the widow of James S Cromack (Landlord from 1917 to 1926). The man in the doorway is Joseph D Hiett, son in law of Annie. To the left of him are his daughter and wife, who is one of Annie's daughters. Another of Annie's daughters is in the trap to the right. She is married to the man on the far left, Herbert Elderfield. He is the brother of Annie Elderfield mentioned in the 1901 census. I date this photo 1927 from the estimated age of the child. Annie Cromack was my great grandmother.
