CHOULESBURY, a small village in the parish of its name, 4 miles N.W. by N. from Chesham, and 5 W. from Berkhampstead, is in the hundred of Cottesloe and union of Aylesbury. The church is dedicated to St. Lawrence. The living is a perpetual curacy, value £8 per annum, realised by endowment, and £600 royal bounty; incumbent the Rev Henry P. Jeston, M.A. The parish comprises 176 acres, with a population in 1861 of 105.
