DRAYTON PARSLOW is a parish and village, in the hundred of Cottesloe, and union of Winslow, 5 miles N.E. from Winslow, 5 miles S.W. from Bletchley Railway Station, and 7 N.W. from Leighton Buzzard. The church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, is a plain but neat edifice, with a square tower and three bells; a few years since the chancel was completely restored and much improved, at the expense of the present rector. The living is a rectory, value £400 per annum, with 375 acres of glebe, out of which the rector lets to the poor, in allotments, 32 acres; it is in the deanery of Mursley, and patronage of the rector, the Rev. Benjamin Spurrell, M.A. Here are chapels of the Baptists and Primitive Methodists. 36 acres of land were allotted, at the enclosure, for the use of the poor, to whom it is let in parcels. The parish, which comprises 1680 acres, belongs principally to Lord Carrington, the Rev Benjamin Spurrell, Mr. Thomas Willison, and Dr. McWhinnie; the Right Hon. Lord Carrington is lord of the manor. Population in 1861,460; acreage, 1680.
