Sunday 18th to Monday 19th February 1838 *
Public house to report - disorderly
The Superint. reports he received information that some Thieves had been attempting to pick Some Persons Pocket in the Boar's Head Public House under the Hall - he went there and found Thos. Pepper a reputed thief who was drunk, and he was taken into custody, who afterwards assaulted the Police Constable. Sarah Hitch a well-known Prostitute was also drinking in the House.

Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th April 1838 *
Beer Houses to report
P.S.2 reports he visited the beer shops under the Hall and at the back found 5 prostitutes at J. Jones also 4 at the Boars Head kept by Wm Easton and 5 do at the Anchor at the back of the Hall at 9½ pm there were none when he went at 10½ pm.

Wednesday 9th to Thursday 10th May 1838 *
P.C.6 to report
It has been reported to the Superint that P.C. Fynn was found drinking at the Boars Head Public House by Segt Watts, between 2 and 3 o'clock on Tuesday Morning and that Fynn was drunk also drunk and found asleep on some stairs in a house in Slaughter House Lane on Sunday morning. Not reported by the Sergeant. [Entry in the Superintendent’s hand]

Saturday 12th to Sunday 13th May 1838 *
Beer Houses visited
P.S. Watts reports he visited the beer shops about the Town Hall and found 6 prostitutes at the Boars Head kept by Wm. Easton at 9½ - P.C.13 was calld to the Boars head to take into custody a prostitute by name Disbury for picking a mans pocket of his purse and money but the Complainant refus’d to give her in charge.
[William Easton summonsed by the Superintendent for harbouring bad characters – promised he would conduct his premises better in the future and so the case was dismissed. Cambridge Chronicle 26 May 1838 p2]

Disturbance
P.C.17 Robinson Put A Stop to a Disturbance at the Boars Head at ¼ to 12 o’clock pm. Also a disturbance on the Market Hill at 12¾ am
