Butchers Arms, Newmarket road, Cambridge belonged to Messrs Hudson and Co Ltd. A fully licensed house with trade of three barrels of beer, 20 dozen pint bottles of beer and stout, one gallon of spirits, and six dozen minerals weekly.
The house was registered as a common lodging house, and the tenant paid £38 per year rent. There were eight other licensed houses within 200 yards.
James Lee had been the tenant for nearly 12 years. He was licensed for 38 lodgers, and had let 9,329 beds during the last year. House referred for compensation.
