My ancestor's Jonas and Anna Clark ran the Spread Eagle back in 1845 - 1856. Thought you might like the detail on their time their that I have managed to source. Jonas's brother John ran a bakery in 1841 at 16 Downing Terrace. The bakery had been taken over by his brother Gray by the time of the 1851 census. In 1851 Jonas's brother Daniel was running the Dolphin Inn in Coronation Street Cambridge. That yeast must have been darned good. *
