I am currently researching Haslingfield Pubs and William Downie was the landlord of the Bushel & Strike, Haslingfield between 1929 and 1930. *


When Helen's first husband William C Downie died in 1933. *
His Probate record says : *
1934, DOWNIE William Cuthbert of The Eagle Tap High-street Kingson-on-Thames died 2 November 1933 at 26 Wolverton avenue, Kingson-on-Thames. Administration London 2 February to Helen Downie widow. Effects £339 5s 6d.
