The funeral took place on January 14th 1943, of Mr George Kibble, of 49 Mount Pleasant, Halstead, whose death occurred the previous Sunday at the age of 76 years. He was a native of the town, being a son of the late Mr and Mrs Kibble, of White Horse Fields. Most of his earlier life, however, was spent in London, where he was a coachman and he returned to Halstead in 1912 and took over the licence of the Essex Arms, which he held for about eight years, after which he became licensee of the Batson's Arms, Horseheath. ........
