My parents families were both tenants of the Three Pigeons at Bishops Tawton, Barnstaple during the period 1902 1929. *

My paternal great-grandfather, John Tossell Prideaux, took over the tenancy on 16.4.1902 but transferred it to his son, William Prideaux, on 17.10.1906. He, in turn, transferred it to his wife, Louisa, on 2.2.1910. She relinquished the tenancy on 25.10.1911 to Frederick Gibb. *
