Dove Inn, Southover, Burton Bradstock
On the flip-side of the card it states The Dove Inn Burton
Bradstock. 17th Century Fishermans' retreat.
Reputed smugglers' retreat. Reputed smugglers' haunt in 18th & 19th Centuries.
This is now a private house. My parents-in-law in 60s and 70s had a cottage just down the lane from the Dove and used to go in with a jug and have it filled with local cider to take home.
