In 2017 this is a Star Inn, part of the Heineken group. It still exists in 2025, and was basically a
th century building with a Central Hall and North and South crosswings. The Inn, however, was opened at a much later date, the earliest mention was in 1765, when Sarah Peacock was the licensee.A listing of historical public houses, Taverns, Inns, Beer Houses and Hotels in Essex.
