Henry Wheatley mentioned as being resident in 1881 was my great grandfather.
Naomi, his aunt, was the sister of my g g grandfather, Edwin and daughter of
my g g g grandfather,Octavius. Although Henry was born in Banbury, the
family was originally from Essex and were all blacksmiths and metal workers.
Henry went on to work in Colchester, still as an iron founder and the family
were still there at the time of my father's birth in 1926. I believe that
there are still Wheatleys in Colchester and I know for sure that they are
still in Chelmsford. As far as I can tell, Naomi (nee Wheatley) never had
any children of her own. ***
