The Funeral of Mr John Ridgewell, aged 73, landlord of the Swan Inn for nearly 20 years, took place at the Parish Church. Col T Gibbons, D.S.O., was among those present. Mr Ridgwell, who was highly respected, left a widow and several sons and daughters.
