Ilford pub history index
The White Horse is long-closed and the premises now in use as a bank (2008). ** All the early 1900 photographs of the White Horse clearly show the date of 1888 as the year of construction. The water tower is moved in 1923 to south park to relieve congestion, and the water tower was later destroyed by a V1 rocket in June 1944
