Henry Dines was still a licensee in 1943 when his wife died, and he died there on 6 May 1948. It is possible that his son Theodore Dines took over, as he was also a licensed victualler (cited in the grant of probate.) *

*** Chris Shelley informs that Edward Lees was the publican from 1818 until his death on 1847. Edward's first wife Jane Lily died in 1828. He married a second time to Susannah (formerly Benton, nee Talmarsh) and, after his death, she continued as the licensee until her death in 1866. Edward & Susannah's unmarried daughter, Susan Hannah Lees, took over until her death, aged 42, in 1873.
