For the History of Romford & other areas of Havering:
A Kings Head was listed in 1678, was rebuilt in 1898 and in 1971 the license was moved to a new premises at 26 The Liberty / Mercury Gardens in 1971 and is listed in telephone directories between 1972 and 1982. The latter pub is now long gone.
