Hanging Gate, Hornchurch

Also see the History of Hornchurch

The Hanging Gate Beer House is found on the census, quite near to the Good Intent, and is therefore listed as South Hornchurch, apart from this, I have little information on the place. This could become  the Canteen, but this is pure supposition from looking at the census walk.
