William Drain, innkeeper, of Southminster was summoned by Inspector Ackers for unlawfully selling gin, which was not composed of ingredients in accordance with the demand of the purchaser, but contained an admixture of water which reduced its strength ten degrees below the minimum strength. Fined 30 shillings and 7 shillings and sixpence costs.
