On Saturday night , Mr Daniel Britton, of the Fox and Hounds, Thaxted discovered after having closed his house that five fowls had been stolen from his hen house, two found dead in the stable, and the head of a third.
Thomas Wright, master bricklayer who had been drinking in the house that evening eventually pleaded guilty .
