Wivenhoe pub history index
The Greyhound was the last of the old inns to be opened, with licensing records in 1817. By the 1830s the whole building existed as now. The back rooms are structurally part of an earlier row of cottages. The Greyhound became a Daniells pub, then Trumans and then a Pubmaster. At one time it called itself the Greyhound Hotel.
