Park Hotel, High Street, Wivenhoe

The Park Hotel was built by John Eade in 1862/3. It was originally leased to Nicholls, and later sold to Daniells, thence passing to Truman and Pubmaster (who have recently sold it). Until the late 1890s it was the first building reached in Wivenhoe on approaching from Colchester by road. It still offers accommodation, the only Wivenhoe pub now doing so.
