Following a painful illness during the past four months, the death of Mr Milsom Porter of Coalway Lane End near Colford, occurred at his residence last evening.
The deceased was for 17 years licensee of the Britannia Inn, Coalway, which business he vacated four years ago. He is second son of Mr Charles Porter, and the late Mrs Porter of Ellwood.
He was in his 53rd year, leaves a wife and three children.
