Tewkesbury pub history index
The building dates from the late 16th/early 17th centuries and recorded as existing in 1644; also known as the Plough Inn. Grade II-listed since 4th March, 1952. Known as the Faust & Firkin in the late 1990s then Hoolahan's. Reverted back to the Old Plough then a nightclub called Mojo in 2009 and now (August 2017) a bar/restaurant called Theoc House, named after the town's Saxon founder - Theoc - who founded a hermitage here in the 7th century. *
