The Napier Arms in the 1881 census. Rebuilt about 1891 to become the Victoria Hotel. In 1971 becomes the Surrey Arms. In 1985, Refurbished at a cost of Ł110,000 including installation of the first bar built for Brickwood’s brewery and the cast iron stove from the board room of Mew
Langton. In 1994, this becomes the Hogshead and Bucket, and in 2001 the Surrey Arms again.
