This pub was rebuilt in its present form 1922 or 1923. In 1967 it merged with the adjacent King & Queen. **

Edward Frost was the victualler in 1791 & 1798, from Universal Directory Vol 4. T. Coker in 1823/4 from Pigot, Thomas Coker in 1828 & 1830, both from Pigot. Thomas Coker was buried on 30 October 1839, burial entry records his age as 58 and address as Common Hard. The tavern was owned by the brewer William Deacon until his death in 1816. *

In 1818, Thomas Coker is at the Northumberland Arms, Goodge Street, London. This from his (Thomas Coker) father's will written 12th September 1818 . It refers to 'my son Thomas Coker licensed victualler of St Pancras London. This was the will of Thomas Coker foreman of caulkers at Deptford which was proved 22 October 1822. In 1819 Thomas Coker was still the victualler there - information comes from the christening of his daughter on May 6th, 1819 at St Giles in the fields. The entry is Maria Susan Ann daughter of Thomas and Maria Coker victualler abode Northumberland Arms, Goodge Street St Pancras. *
