One William Pollard was landlord in the 1860�s of this Cooper�s Brewery Pub taken over by Watney�s Brewery on their acquisition of Coopers Brewery, it had a major refurbishment in 1988 reopening in January 1989, however a series of managers and trouble caused the pub to close and be placed on the market in 2012. *
