Dating back to the 1830’s when a one Isaac Jackman was landlord, this Coopers Brewery pub stood near to the old Floating Bridge. It was taken over by Watney’s Brewery, in the 1890’s it was the headquarters of St Mary’s Football Club who went on to became The Saints. The 1950’s saw it become the home of the Southampton Rhythm Club, it closed in the late 1980’s and was converted into flats. *
