This 1869 Beer House was originally called the Shepherd’s Arms which used to be owned by Crowley’s Alton Brewery before being taken over by Watney’s Brewery. It closed in 1965 and demolished shortly afterwards to allow the Kingsland redevelopment to be carried out. *
