This Scrase’s Star Brewery pub opened in the late 1890’s, in the 1920’s it became a Strong’s Romsey Brewery pub and in 1969 Whitbread’s Brewery took over when they purchased Strong’s Romsey Brewery. In February 1980 landlady Lil Grant retired ending the families 70 year connection with the pub, her parents had taken over the license in 1910. *
