Built by Brickwood’s Brewery in the 1930’s when the licences from the Morning Star in terminus Terrace and Duke’s Head in Dukes Street were transferred here in 1933, the pub became a Whitbread’s Brewery premises when they acquired Brickwood’s Brewery in 1971. *
