This old fully licensed pub dates back to the early 1820’s when George Dean was Landlord.  Forder’s Hampton Court Brewery used to own the pub in the early 20th century before it became a Brickwood’s Brewery house and than a Whitbread’s Brewery house when they acquired Brickwood’s in 1971. In 1845 it appears that the pub had a Tap Room listed as a beer house of which a Stableman William Gale was landlord the Tap Room appears to have closed in the 1880’s *
