Southampton pub history index
In the 1870’s Silas Lush was landlord of this new fully licensed pub belonging to Aldridge’s Bedford Brewery it was transferred to Brickwood’s Brewery when they purchased Aldridge’s and likewise to Whitbread’s Brewery in 1971 when they purchased Brickwood’s. It closed on 30th August 1980 and was for a short time a private residence, it has since been demolished. *
