The Victoria Arms in the 1871 census
This pub was present by 1844 as the Princess Victoria. In 1903 it was renamed the Middleton and in 1965 it was demolished following a compulsory purchase order. In 1966 a replacement pub was built and named the Raven. Address is later given as 66 Bedford Street (by 1898) **
