Found on Sunday, August 20. A large black and white Newfoundland Dog. Whosoever has lost him may have him again by applying to Thomas Smith, at the Blue Boar Inn, Kingsgate street, Winchester, on paying for his keeping and this advertisement.

St Cross, near Winchester. Eligible FREE Public House, with extensive Tea and Pleasure Garden
To be sold by Auction, at the Blue Boar, in Kingsgate street, Winchester, on Thursday the 19th of November 1818, at six oclock in th evening.
All that good accustomed and convenient Public House, known by the name of the Horse and Jockey, with a well adapted Brewhouse and roomy cellar adjoining ; also a large yard, in which is a stable, wood house etc.
Attached is a most delightful and extensive Tea and Pleasure Garden, forming together a very desirable residence for commanding an excellemt and lucrative trade; situate one mile from Winchester, on the turnpike road leading from Winchester to Southampton, now in the occupation of Mr Wilkinson, tenant at will.
The premises are held by the lease under the hospital of St Cross, fror three lives absolute, which entitles the purchaser to a vote for the county.

At our Petty Sessions this day, James Wise, the keeper of the Blue Boar public house, in Kingsgate street, was fined in the mitigated penalty of three pounds and costs, for keeping open his house late at night. We hope this will operate as a warning to public house keepers in general, and prevent a recurrence of such breaches of the law.

To be sold by Auction, on the premises, on Wednesday the 5th of July, 1826, at twelve o'clock:-
Part of the neat Household Furniture, capital Eight day clock, and other effects, of Mr Wise, quitting the Blue Boar Public House, in KIngsgate street, comprising mahogany dining, card, claw, and other tables; mahogany, japanned, and stained chairs; Marseilles quilt, blankets, and coverlids ; excellent large mahogany bureau with wardrobe under, walnut tree chest of drawers, portable easel, fire irons and fenders, basin stands and swig glass, pewter mugs, spirit measures, tin cans, paintings and printsm, large quantity of Queen's ware and glass, knives and forks, soldiers' beds and bedding etc. Also a light cart on steel springs, set of cart harness, about ten pair of fancy pigeons, and a well bred yard dog.
