Winchester - Capital BREWERY, with Storehouse and Vaults, good accusomed Public HOuses and other valuable Premises.
To be sold by Auction at the White Hart Inn, in Winchester. All that substantial and newly erected BREWERY, situate near St JOhns House, Winchester, with Storehouse, furnished with requisite working utensils; and capital casks and vats, from 10 to 100 barrels; anout 200 hogsheads and smaller casks, quantity of STRONG Beer, waggon, drays etc; forming a most complete and advantageous establishment, highly deserving the attention of any person or persons wishing to engage in the brewing concern; which together with SEVEN valuable PUBLIC HOUSES, and other premises, will be sold in spearatae lots, viz
Lot 1 All that substantial new built Brewhouse, arranged on a complete and convenient plan, with Storehouse and good copper, and well supplied by steam of excellent water, situate near St Johns House, in the city of Winchester. These premises are held under the Corporation of Winchester by lease of 40 years, renewable every 14 years.
Lot 2. All that good accustomed Freehold Public house, situate in the High street, Winchester , known by the name of the Bakers Arms, and in the occupation of Mr Phillips; together with a compact Dwelling house and good shop adjoining, in the occupation of Mr Goodwin, grocer.
Lot 3
All that Public house, now in full trade, situate in the centre of the Market square, in Winchester, and known by the name of the Nelsons Arms. These premises are held of the Corporation of Winchester for the remainder of a term of 40 years.
Lot 4
All that capital Public house, the White Horse; together with an orchard and garden; eligibly situate in Otterbourne, on the road leading from Winchester to Southampton. These premises are held for three lives, under Magdalen Coolege, Oxford.
Lot 5.
All that good Freehold Public House and Stables etc, known by the sign of the Anchor, in the parish of Bishops Stoke.
Lot 6
All that Public House situate in the parish of Upham, near Winchester, known by the name of the Brushmakers Arms.
Lot 7
All that Public House, known by the name of the Cricketers, situate in the tithing of Curdridge, near Bishops Waltham
Lot 8
All that valuable Public House, situate in West street, in Fareham, known by the name of the Kings Head, now in occupation of Mr Hunt
Lot 9
All that Dwelling house, with Orchard and garden, situate at Sparsholt, near Winchester, lately known by the sign of the Plough, held for the widowhood of Mrs Pain
Lot 10
All that Freehold tenement and Premises, with Storehouse, capital spacious Arched Vault and Stables, situate in St Johns street, Winchester.

Winchester. To be sold by Auction, by Messrs Mant and Son, at the Sun Inn, in the Square, Winchester, on Thursday the 11th day of June 1818 - the unexpired Term of 16 years in a Lease granted by the Corporation of Winchester in the 22nd August, 1794, to hold from Lady day, 1794, of all that truly desirable and well accustomed Public House, centrically situated between the Markets, and called the Nelsons Arms, in the Square, Winchester, now in the occupation of Mr Daniel Smart, servant at will.

Nelsons Arms, Winchester. Andrew Holdaway, impressed with a sense of gratitude to his Majestys Ministers for taking the Duty off Beer, and also to his friends and customers for the liberal support he has received. begs to say, that having in hand a good STOCK of Genuine STRONG BEER, he is enabled to sell the same at 6 pence per pot in-doors, and 5 pence out, until the 10th of October next, when a further reduction will take place.
N.B. Families supplied with good table Beer at 6d per gallon, by the cask.

Auction Lot 4. All that capital Free Public house, known as the NELSONS ARMS INN, situated in the square, with frontage to the Cathedral Churchyard, comprisong two parlours, tap room, seven bedrooms, excellent brewhouse and store, with lofts over, cellarage for 100 hogsheads etc, offering every accommodation for an extensive trade, which has for nearly thirty years been carried on by the proprietor.
The property is held by lease of the Coropration of Winchester, for forty years from Lady day, 1836, renewable every fourteen years, and subject to yearly rent of 5 shillings.
The Winchester Barracks being now kept fully garrisoned by the Household Troops and regiments of the line, together with the activity of trade in this city, renders this opportunity of purchasing a Free Public house a safe investment for the moderate capitalist, and a certain and profitable return for the publican desirous of increasing the business of a second rate house.
