Compensation Authority, on the 6th July 1906, to refuse the renewal of the following licenses.

Bell Inn, Bishops Stortford, Full Licence, Licensee William Henry Lewington, Owner Benskins Watford Brewery Ltd, Watford

Watford Observer. 20 October 1906 Compensation in respect of 15 houses fixed.
A Bishop Stortford House, Licence
The amount claimed in respect of the Bell Inn, a fully licensed house at Bishops Stortford, Licensee William Henry Lewington, and Owner Benskins Watford Brewery Ltd, Watford was £1,157 10s. The amount of Mr Flints valuation was £551, and he advised settlement at £591.
Colonel C Healey said these figures would be accepted by all parties.
It was suggested that Messrs Benskins should receive £410, and the licensee £181.
Colonel C Healey said he whould like the licensee to receive £182 10s, that was the amount he paid to go in. All agreed.
