The pub was where my Grandmother Daisy M Saunders ( Then Beaman ) and her
second husband Fred Beaman used to run from the 1950’s through to
approximately 1967/8. They gave up the pub when my Grandmother had a
bad fall and broke her thigh.
Fred, before he was a publican I was told, was a test driver for the Routes
Motor Company he had a lot of memorabilia from his days at Routes. *
