My Father, Orlando Carpenter was the Landlord of The Queens Head, Lawn Lane, Hemel Hempstead, from 10th March 1948 until 1958. He was the first landlord to be promoted by Benskins Brewery, by Mr E.W.Ham managing Director of Benskins (having just come from Taylor Walkers Brewery). He was previously at the Plough in  Radwinter, and the Rose and Crown, Maldon. *
