My Father, Orlando Carpenter was the Landlord of The Queens Head, Lawn Lane,
Hemel Hempstead, from 10th March 1948 until 1958. He was the first landlord
to be promoted by Benskins Brewery, by Mr E.W.Ham managing Director of
Benskins (having just come from Taylor Walkers Brewery). He was previously
at the Plough in
Radwinter, and the Rose and
Crown, Maldon. *
