New licenses for the White Lion, Bengeo to James Harvey.
Several new houses had been built in the neighbourhood lately. The premises afforded every accommodation, and they had a coachhouse and stabling attached, and he had kept his house as a beerhouse for some time, without complaint.
The nearest licensed house was the Reindeer in Hertford, a half a mile away, and the nearest on the Bengeo side was distant 300 yards.
This house was between the village of Bengeo and the town of Hertford.
And a memorial signed by nearly the whole of the owners in the parish, and the vicar, churchwardens, and many others. Licence granted.
