The Beehive Pub, I believe, was also operated by my 4th great grandfather Isaac Taylor who was the son of William Taylor and Sarah Bawcock (5th great grandparents) both born around 1775 in Hertfordshire. *+
Isaac was born around 1802, and is matched as a brother, 'by dna', to Anne and Sarah Taylor’s family (daughters of the above) and he is listed on his daughter’s wedding certificate as a publican.
Her name was Sarah Eliza Taylor and she married Nathan Dellar and migrated to Western Australia in the 1850’s.
My great grandmother Ethel Sarah Davies was also a publican to 5 known hotels in country Victoria, Australia.
Godfrey Wackett was my great, great grandfather. *
The 1841 census shows the Beehive landlord as William Taylor, publican, aged 65. His wife Sarah, aged 60 and daughter Eliza, aged 20 and John Warren, aged 11, were also living there.

William Taylor leaves a will in 1842 with all his copyholds in Epping Green to his wife, Sarah Taylor.
In 1845, Godfrey Wackett married their daughter Eliza and moved into the Beehive.
The 1851 census shows Sarah Taylor, aged 74, as the "head and widow" and "beer shop keeper." Godfrey and Eliza were still living there with their 3 sons.

Hockey leader takes over pub
New licensee of the 400 year old Beehive public house, Epping Green, Mr Tony Royall, intends to retain the public house's old-world image.
His wife, Chris, and sons Matthew (14) and Gareth (11) have already had extensive training at the Sun, Lemsford, Welwyn Garden, where Mr Royall was acting manager for three years.
Before entering the licensed trade, Mr Royall, who is 43, sold computer software. "I tell people that computers are a passing fancy, but booze is forever" he said.
Born and bred in Welwyn Garden City, Mr Royall spent 25 years with the town's hockey club and served as club chairman and captain several times.
Mr Nick Pryke, former licensee of the Beehive has now retired to the West Country.

Ray Clemence used his famous goalkeeping hands for charitable purposes at the Bakers Arms, Bayford, last week, to present two cheques, together worth over £1200, to Mrs Ann Carlisle, of Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital, London.
The money is the result of a fancy dress wheelbarrow race staged last month between teams from the Beehive, Epping Green and the Bakers Arms.
The route took in many local public houses and the race itself was organised by Mr David Banham.
The Beehive's collective total came to £585 and the Bakers Arms to £630.
