My Great great grandparents were licensed victuallers starting in the mid
1860s in St Albans, through Berkhamsted and then to London.
The first record is a birth certificate for my Great Grandfather John Ralph
Elliot; and James and Annie Elliot have their address as Market Place, St
Albans. This would be the Wellington, 26 Market Place, St Albans 1866. *
