The Cother Arms, Watford, formally known as The Wishing Well, has welcomed local MP Dean Russell for a visit after reopening its doors from its transformation.
During the visit, Dean Russell MP met with Operator Rebecca Harrington who showed him around the pub, showcasing its new look as well as speaking to him about the future of The Cother Arms and the role the pub will play within the Watford Community.
Dean Russell, MP for Watford, said: “It was a pleasure to visit The Cother Arms and see its huge transformation. It was also good to meet Rebecca and talk about the pub’s investment and her plans for welcoming in the community and making the pub a space for all. I believe that The Cother Arms will play a large part in the Watford community, and I look forward to returning soon.”
Rebecca said: “It was great having Mr Russell come and visit the pub following its refurbishment, I was able to show him around and talk to him about the ideas we have for the pub’s role in the community and what we can offer. We look forward to welcoming Mr Russell again on his next visit.”
The pub’s refurbishment has seen the interior transform into a more open space with a lighter look and feel, with new and improved seating areas, so there is room for everyone. Within the pub there are a number of TVs, all with Sky Sports and BT Sports packages, which is perfect for catching all the sporting action. However, if you would prefer to partake in some sporting action of your own and rustle up some friendly competition, then the pub has a darts board and pool table for exactly that.
The pubs bar is home to a wide range of refreshing drinks, including local and national beers, fine wines and spirits. If you prefer low-alcohol or no-alcohol drinks, then the pub has some for you to choose from and of course have classic soft drinks and hot drinks available.
Rebecca continued: “The pub has been given a new lease of life from its investment, and it is great to see so many guests and returning faces. There is always something going on that everyone can get involved with, whether that be live sport or music, but you are more than welcome to pop in for a quiet drink. The team and I look forward to welcoming more of you into the pub for a drink and to see its transformation, and are excited for the future of The Cother Arms.”
