I connect to the Aldridges who were at the Black Horse. It is complicated - My Wm Aldridge (my ggg grandfather) was there in 1851. The Henry Aldridge (my gggg uncle) there in 1861 is his brother. This Henry (aka Harry) died C1880 and left his estate to his nephew (my gg grandfather) Henry Aldridge
who was at the Black Horse (C1883-1887) - his wife Harriet may have been the nominee.  My Henry Aldridge first arrived in Australia, July 1859 on the Glentanner; and went back to England in 1883 on the Liguria.
With an inheritance he received from his uncle Harry Aldridge's estate, Henry went back to Welwyn, Hertfordshire where he bought back the Black Horse Inn, a pub his father had owned 30-odd years earlier. *
