This pub was present as the Bell by 1617. It was renamed the
Bell & Crown in around 1850, although census up until 1881 call it the Bell
or One Bell in 1861.
It closed some time between 1964 and 1973 and is now a private house called
"Crown House", after a period as a Chinese Restaurant. **
