Wigginton pub history index
Cow Roast is a hamlet within the parishses of Northchurch and Wigginton. It is a rich area for Roman and earlier settlements, and was Grade II listed in 1986, although the buildings probably only date back to 1800, and replace an earlier coaching inn. There is still a restaurant at this site.
