I have a copy of a letter written by Sophia to her brother in Melbourne, Australia :
Sophia states in the letter dated the 25th September 1875; they were one
year out of business. We could see nothing to suit us, so we bought a
piece of ground off Frank, my brother on the Chart and built this house,
and opened it for the sale of beer. We have not tried for a spirit licence. been here 9 years now. *
